Care and Cleaning of Stainless Steel Surfaces

Tips for Both Stainless Steel and Brushed Chrome Exterior Surfaces:

Find out whether the exterior of your appliance is stainless steel or brushed chrome (ask your dealer or the manufacturer). This can effect some cleaning recommendations, especially on how aggressive you can be.

  • DO Always wipe with the grain or polish lines, NOT across them.
  • DON’T Use chlorine bleach or cleaning products that contain chlorine bleach.
  • DON’T Allow soil to bake on to surfaces. Stainless Steel and Brushed Chrome may permanently discolor if soil is allowed to bake on.
  • DO Always read the manufacturer’s instructions on the label of the cleaner, to be sure the cleaner can be safely used on either brushed chrome or stainless steel.
